Having a power sharing solution for your residential EV charging stations allows your tenants to have multiple EVs charging at the same time without the worry of overloading the power system. Once it senses that the car is done charging, the system itself will shut off or send power to the other EVs that still need more charge. EV chargers come in all shapes, sizes, and power ratings. Different chargers are used for different applications depending on the facility's requirements.

The most efficient and cost effective option for multi-residential buildings are Level 2 EV chargers. The goal of a Level 2 charger is not to fill up your EV as quickly as possible. Rather, Level 2 chargers will fill up most vehicles within a couple of hours without putting an unreasonable demand for power on your building’s existing electrical infrastructure.

When planning your EV charging installation project, it is important to determine what is the spare electrical capacity of your
property. Accordingly, you can decide whether to install community charging, where EV chargers are installed in visitor parking
spots to be shared by multiple drivers. Or, dedicated charging, where each driver gets their own EV charger in their dedicated
parking space. Normally, dedicated charging installations require additional infrastructure. We support the two installation types and can help you with a free site evaluation.
